18th Convocation - Guidelines

1. Candidates eligible for award of the above qualifications only will be admitted in person at the convocation.
2. Candidates should register for the convocation by 27TH April, 2014 (till 1800 hrs) on the website www.natboard.edu.in.
3. Candidates desirous of being admitted in absentia should clearly state the same at the time of online registration for the convocation.
Identity-Cum-Receipt Slip: Each candidate should obtain from the Designated Officer an identity slip on 12th May 2014 at 9:30 A.M. sharp in the foyer of Talkatora Stadium, NDMC Mandir Marg, Connaught Place, New Delhi.
Degree In Absentia: Candidates who are unable to attend the convocation in person should apply for admission in absentia at the time of online registration Kindly note that the degrees will be dispatched to the candidates within 10 days from the date of Convocation.
6. Only one guest shall be permitted along with the candidate at the venue.
7. Tea/ Coffee, refreshments and lunch arrangements shall be available for the candidate and the accompanying guest.
8. Rehearsal: There will be a rehearsal of the convocation ceremony on the 12th May, 2014 in the Talkatora Stadium, NDMC Mandir Marg, Connaught Place, New Delhi.
  a. All candidates should attend the rehearsal to facilitate orderly conduct of Convocation.
The candidates for admission to the Degree in person must be present at the rehearsal where there will be a roll call. They must remain in their seats in the convocation hall till the rehearsal is over.
  c. No one will be admitted to the hall after the final roll is called
Seating Arrangements in the Convocation Hall: Candidates who are present in the convocation in person will be allotted a seat and a list showing the seat numbers allotted to them will be displayed outside the convocation hall.
10. Dress Code: The candidates are required to abide by the following dress code for the convocation ceremony:
  a. Gents: Smart Formal Dress/ Long Suit.
  b. Ladies: Salwar Kameez/ Saree
11. Photograph
A photo booth shall be available outside the venue for ceremonial photograph in gown. However please note that requirement of the gown on dias is not mandatory.
Please note that NBE shall arrange for photography of the students. The pictures and videos of the convocation ceremony shall be available at the convocation website after the ceremony.
12. Stay and Travel
Candidates will have to make their own arrangements for their travel and stay at New Delhi. National Board of Examinations will not be able to make such arrangements for the candidates.
